We point to the "Lamb of God" as our model of faith.  Self-sacrifice, ove of neighbor and enemy, generosity of spirit and compassion become the attributes of our life together.

Sunday, December 25 - Pastor Dave and Mrs. Clause

December 27th, 2016

On Christmas Day, we hear the untold story of The Fourth Magi.  This story, written by our own Chuck White before his death, tells a beautiful story.  Chuck and his wife Karen would dress up as Santa and Mrs. Clause every Christmas.  We are delighted that "Mrs. Clause" joins us to tell this wonderful story to our children on this special day.

If a world class violist plays in a DC metro station and nobody stops to hear it, is it truly great?  Perhaps we can't see the beauty and grace right before our ears and eyes because we don't expect to it. Jesus comes to change our expectations and remind us that surprise and new life is readily in our presence if only our eyes are open and our ears alert to its possibility.

John the Baptizer preaches about an unquenchable fire.  Yet the unquenchable fire does not have to be for destruction, but can also be for transformation.  Like a potter molding clay, the "fires" of our lives can actually be shape more into the person/people God is calling us to be.
